Ex-Shiawassee County, MI, Fire Chief Charged with Embezzlment

    A probe showed the former Perry Area Fire Rescue chief allegedly stole more than $100,000.

    Felony charges have been filed against the ex-fire chief of Perry Area Fire Rescue.

    Guy Hubbard, 60, has been charged with embezzlment of $100,000 or more and embezzlment of more than $50 by a public official. 

    Months after being placed on paid in administrative leave in 2023 when the probe startted, the Southwest Shiawassee Emergency Services Alliance fired him, WLNS reported.
